A loan of $1,000 helped to buy cartons of ribs, tripe and chicken legs.

Marie Rose's story

This customer, who is 48 years old, single and has no children, began selling fresh food almost ten years ago, when she got divorced from her husband. With a little money she began selling on a stall in the market. She has already had three loans from Hope: with the first loan she bought cartons of beef and pork ribs and with this new loan she has again doubled her stock of fresh food buy adding ten cartons of chicken legs, ten cartons of pork ribs, five cartons of tripe and five cartons of beef. She has the capacity to sell between 15 and 25 cartons a day.

She is a good customer and has always repaid her loans and made considerable savings. She has a lot of ambition and her plan is to buy her own cold room and become a wholesaler.
