A loan of $1,125 helped to hire day laborers and to buy manure.

Diomedes's story

Diomedes, 45, is married to Adrigvia, 35, and they have three beautiful children that they live with in their own house located in the town of Chuvivana in Sivia District. He’s a farmer who learned to farm from his parents when he was still a boy; they pushed him and supported him when he was just starting out planting. During that time, he suffered a serious accident fracturing both legs and was bedridden for half a year. During that time he was unable to work. His beloved wife tried to do the work by herself but the plants grow quickly becoming very lush and difficult to cultivate. Despite all that, once Diomedes recovered from his ills, he once again started to cultivate his coffee and banana plants. He usually works alongside his beloved wife who has been his faithful companion all his life. In the future, they plan to open a new business which is selling children’s clothes.
This is his second MFP loan and he pledges to pay his installments punctually. He will use the 3000 new soles to maintain his coffee fields hiring day laborers and buying manure.
