A loan of $1,000 helped to buy 15 tanks of propane per week, beans and rice by the quintal, soap by the case and milk.

José Fredys's story

José is 40 years old and lives with his wife and his three children who are 8, 5 and 3 years old each. He and his wife have been running their own store for two years since he’s been an evangelical pastor. He used to work in farming. The products are delivered to him at home. José is asking Fundación Campo for a loan to buy: 15 tanks of propane gas per week, beans, rice by the quintal, soap by the case and also milk. With the loan he will buy products that he does not have in stock and will buy more of those he does have. At the same time he will be able to buy at a better price since he used to have to limit himself. Concurrently, he will offer a better variety of products to his customers so will sell more and obtain better income. José hopes to have a larger store because there are more than 800 inhabitants in his community and they have to travel up to 12 kilometers to buy whatever they don’t find in his store so he sees quite a large market available in his community and this is why he requests the loan to stock up on everything needed.
