Jàppalé Group's story

This group was founded May 17, 2010. It is made up of 15 women who come from the same village and who are almost all related to one another.

Their leader is Marèma. She is standing at the far right of the photo. She is 49 years old, married and the mother of six children, one of whom is a little girl. She is also responsible for a grandson.

Marèma sews and, in parallel, is involved in farming. She has been conducting this type of business for 26 years.

Her loan will allow Marèma to purchase supplies (fabrics, thread and seeds).

Her goal is to care for her children and their health; the members of the group are involved in the same business. Please note that there is one group member who did not take a loan and two who are absent [from the photo].
