A loan of $575 helped to buy merchandise for her grocery store.

Flor Margarita's story

This is the second loan for Flor, age 49. She has two young children, one age 12 and the younger one only 8 years old. She currently dedicates herself alone to the care and support of her little ones, since for personal reasons she had to separate from her partner. To get ahead and always provide her children with a good quality of life, she began to work selling groceries in the city of Nazca. This city is famous for the legendary Nazca Lines, a series of ancient, immense and inexplicable hieroglyphics carved into the desert which surrounds the city. They are generally attributed to the people of the Nazca culture, who inhabited the region from 300 to 800 AD. Because of this, the city attracts a large number of tourists. However, Nazca is also known for its hard-working people, who have survived in spite of frequent earthquakes, tsunamis, and a high poverty rate in the region.

With the help of Kiva lenders, Flor will be able to buy some groceries which she needs for her store. The merchandise is always increasing in price, and because of this, she would like to buy what she needs in a single purchase at a good price, so that she can earn the money she needs to take good care of her young children.
