A loan of $1,125 helped to purchase meat and other products for the food she sells.

Ana's story

Ana, age 48, is an enterprising woman. She has raised a family of 6 children. She lives with 2 of them in her own house, located in the community of Pampas. She has been separated from her husband for some years and since then has faced the responsibility for her family. This helped her to change into an independent woman.

This is why, 15 years ago, she opened a restaurant in the center of her community. There, she offers all types of food to professors, workers in banks, lawyers, and doctors who, for purposes of work, find themselves in Pampas. She tells us that she serves a minimum of 30 people a day since she already has an established clientele. Moreover, her secret is preparing her dishes with vegetables she plants herself. Ana also has agricultural land where she works along with another woman since she dedicates most of her time to her restaurant.

Ana belongs to the “los pétalos” (flower petals) solidarity group. This is her seventh loan with MFP. She is very happy because she has financial support and, thus, will feel secure about moving forward with her business. In addition, she promises to pay her installments. She is thankful to be part of her solidarity group because all its members are responsible and supportive people. Upon receiving her loan, Ana will invest the money applied for in the purchase of products and meat for the preparation of the tasty meals she sells.
