A loan of $1,800 helped to purchase a mini-bus to use for selling greengrocery products.

Nikoloz's story

Nikoloz is a 38-year-old farmer. He lives in the village of Nabakhtevi with his family: his wife Marine and three children (10, 8 and 5 years old). The children go to school. Nikoloz and Marine are busy with family agricultural business. In particular, they have three milk cows. Marine produces cheese. Also they own 4 hectares of land, which is used for wheat, maize and haricot growing. They sell harvested products, as well as home-made cheese locally.

Nikoloz requested credit for purchasing a mini-bus, which will be used for selling their products. Nikoloz will be able to sell products in nearby villages for a higher price. Also, when he has a mini-bus he will sell additional greengrocery products, purchased from neighboring farmers. The income of the family will significantly increase and they will be able to spend more on their children’s education, as well as purchasing other household goods to improve the family’s living conditions.
