Bokk Jomm Group's story

This group is made up of 15 women who come from the same village. They got together based on personal affinities and neighborhood. Their main business is retailing.

Mrs. Coumba, age 44, is married and the mother of seven children. She's been a member of the Banc Villageois since her first loan, and is part of Bokk Jomm Group. She's standing on the far left in the photograph.

Coumba sells cereals, a business she masters due to the fact that she's been running it for a long time. Her new loan will enable her to buy millet and peanuts, in order to bolster her business.

Her goal is to help her children in taking care of the school and healthcare expenses, but also to bolster her savings at the Banc Villageois.
