A loan of $800 helped buy supplies for her bakery.

Yesenia Del Socorro's story

Yesenia is 28 years old and lives with her family in Brasilia, a community in the province of Alajuela. In this area, a lot of tourists come to see Arenal Volcano which is located nearby, and also to see the Monteverde cloud forest and the lowlands in the northern area of the country. In Alajuela there are five national parks, a national wildlife reserve, five protected zones, and many forest reserves. The Juan Santamaría Museum is also in this province, and has exhibits of locally made handicrafts. This zone is the nation's number one producer of coffee and sugar cane.

Yesenia has been working at her business for several months. She provides service to the neighbors of her community, and they are very satisfied by the quality of her products.

She is asking for a loan of 400,000 colones to buy ingredients and supplies for her bakery, as she wishes to give her customers the best quality products. In order to do that, she needs a loan and she wants to have additional income for her home.

She is a member of the Brasilia Community Credit Union, and is very thankful for the opportunities provided her by accessing a loan. It will allow her to realize the goals in her life.
