Janet Yolanda's story

Janet Yolanda is a 24 year old young woman. She is a single mother to a four year old little girl. She is very responsible and dedicated. More than anything, she is a fighter who takes care of her little one on her own. Janet tells us that her daughter is the best things that God could have given her and without her, she would not be able to continue to give affection and she makes an effort because every day she does not miss anything and she doesn’t have hardships. Janet lives in her parents’ house and they support her a lot with her work. They give her a small area where she can have her business and more than anything, they help to take care of her daughter while Janet is working. Now Janet has a store that offer basic needs products (groceries, rice, sugar, canned goods, etc.). For 11 months, she has been working hard and constantly. She dedicates 16 hours a day to her store. She believes her business is going well because she serves her customers very well and because she is organized. Also, because she keeps her business clean and this inspires confidence in her customers. Janet is more than grateful to the Kiva lenders. Thanks to the support that they offer, she will be able to purchase more merchandise. In this case, it will be clothing. She wants to offer this product in her store and this will improve her business. Now her clients will have a greater variety of products. With this addition, she will increase her income and save more for the future she can fulfill her big dream: “expanding her business”.
