Lucia's story

Lucia, 36 years old, is a happy and enterprising woman. She has a common-law relationship with Esteban who is a taxi driver. She lives with her partner and her two young children who are 13 and 7 years old, which is why she tries to get ahead. She has her own house which she bought with the help of her partner.

Her work is selling bananas and drinks, which she started in a space that is very well equipped in a stall located in the market, which she opened 2 years ago. She has become valued and known in the area. She works alone and always with a lot of enthusiasm. What she likes most about her work is that it permits her to have financial income giving her peace of mind about being able to provide the best for her children, it is profitable, and she likes to socialize. She continues pushing herself and thanks to this her stand is very busy and she wants to expand her business and in the future she hopes to open a restaurant because she likes the kitchen.

This will be her third loan with MFP, and she is grateful for the financial support in order to go forward with her business. She feels very comfortable with the communal bank because she knows them very well because of the time she has been working with them. She considers them to be responsible with their payments, which encourages her to continue in the group. With the loan of 1000 soles she will buy products to expand her business, searching to buy in larger amounts and have greater response and better earnings.
