Los Girasoles Group's story

Roció has a spouse and two school age children. She’s 34 years old and a member of the “Los Girasoles” (The Sunflowers) communal bank, a group composed of ten members who carry out a variety of commercial activities.

Roció has worked for nine years selling food, that is, she sells set menus (lunch and breakfast) at home. This business arose because her children started attending school and her husband’s salary was insufficient to cover basic food, school and utilities costs. She, therefore, worked hard to move her family forward and started out by selling breakfast. In time, she acquired more customers and started then to sell lunch too. Roció tells us that her children were her motivation. Thanks to her effort and dedication she’s attained better income and her children were able to go to school. Gradually she was able to buy things for her house and, above all, her family now has a better quality of life.

In order to continue making progress, she’s asking for a new loan to buy ingredients (rice, noodles). We know that Roció will reach her goals with much work and effort and that Edaprospo loans will help her.
