Olga Bertelia's story

Olga Bertilia is 65 years old. She is married and has two children. She lives with her husband and her children, who are 37 and 28 years old, in Chillanes in the province of Bolívar.

The TENDAL communal bank is made up of 11 members, both men and women. It is located 45 minutes from the cooperative.

Olga works in agriculture as well as the tasks of her household. She buys supplies and sells her products each week in Chillanes or in the district of Tendal.

She is requesting the loan to buy animals such as chickens and some pigs to raise and later to sell.

With the help of the loan, she will be able to buy animals and later sell them and receive income. Her dream is to expand her business buying and selling animals so she can have a better standard of living.

The challenges she has faced include low prices for selling animals.

In her free time she likes to fix up her home and care for the animals. She is respectful and responsible, and she enjoys the festivities of Carnaval.
