Aridza's story

Aridza is a 31 year old woman. She is married to an upholsterer. She has four children, three of whom are at school. The oldest is 15 and the youngest 1 year old. Aridza has been working as a retailer since 1995. She sells haberdashery products and 'déguè' (a food product) for all her customers in her shop. She buys her stock in Lomé. She works alone. Currently, her main problem is the slump. Aridza is seeking her third loan with WAGES in order to buy haberdashery products, sugar, millet, milk and couscous. She wants to reinvest in her business. In the coming years, Aridza would like to grow her business. She says that with her profits, she intends to ensure the family's wellbeing.
