Huancarani Group's story

The communal bank "Huancarani" will take it's first loan with Pro Mujer as part of regional office at Patacamaya. It is made up of ten member and is led by a board of directors headed by Zonia. The communal bank members' businesses are varied. Among them are milk production, hand weaving and transportation.

Zonia notes that it is the first time she has worked with Pro Mujer. She joined the institution through the invitation of a salesperson. Currently, she has a businesses in milk production, which she has worked at for years. She learned the business from her parents.

The loan that she will take is to buy feed for her livestock and then sell the milk in her community. This type of work allows her to generate an income to support her family, as she is married and has 5 children.

When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she says that she likes the training and the flexible loans.
