A loan of $2,350 helped a member to buy merchandise.

Las Emprendedoras De La Q Group's story

Sofía, forty-six, is separated and has four children, two of whom are still dependent. She's been an Edaprospo client for three years. She has been selling soft drinks and beer for ten years. She started out selling soft drinks to people playing on sports fields in front of her house. Her future plan is to expand her business. She bought a plot of land where she's thinking about building her shop. She belongs to the "“Las Emprendedoras de la Q” communal bank, which has six members and was formed on the initiative of one of her neighbors. Sofía has been president of the group for eight months. She plans to use her loan as working capital so she can buy merchandise; she wants to demonstrate that she is enterprising enough to overcome on both the personal and family levels.
