A loan of $3,650 helped a member to buy fabrics, thread, buttons, scissors, and other sewing supplies.

Cristo Rey Group's story

In the city of Paraguarí, a group of women gathered together and came up with the idea of learning more about the Program of Women Entrepreneurs being offered by Fundación Paraguaya. This would result in an excellent opportunity for them to move forward and make progress. This committee is called “Cristo Rey” (Christ the King) because there is a chapel that has the same name. The group consists of 14 hardworking women who make sacrifices day after day to support their children and families.

One of the members is Sra. Catalina, who is a seamstress. She says that she always works a great deal because most of her neighbors place several orders. Thanks to her hard work and effort, she has been able to support her family and help with the household finances. She is requesting a loan to buy fabrics, thread, buttons, scissors, and other necessary supplies so that she can meet the demands of her customers.
