Thida's Group's story

Thida, 27, is a rural dweller in a village of the Tbaung Khmum district. She is a farmer who grows rice as her main income source to support her living. Sometimes, she works for others to raise extra income. She has two dependent children who are still in school.

This is Thida's second group loan with VisionFund. Now she leads this group of four female members to apply for another loan. She currently earns US$4.5 per day and is able to save only US$2 daily. Now that she is requesting the loan, she will use this loan to buy fertilizer for her farmland. She hopes to make more rice and earn more income to afford nutritious food and also keep her children in school.
