Eloy's story

Eloy was born in the province of Urubamba and lives in the town of Rumichaca Baja. (The province of Urubamba is located to the north of the city of Cusco, on the banks of the Vilcanota River, in an area known as the "Sacred Valley."Due to its temperate climate, fertile soil, and abundant streams, this valley is one of the most beautiful on the planet).

Eloy is 46 and lives in a common-law marriage from which he has 3 children. He is a carpenter by trade and has a small shop in his home where he makes chairs, doors, tables, wardrobes, and other items. He has had this business for 13 years, and it is going very well thanks to the effort he puts into his work. He needs a loan to buy materials like wood, wood glue, nails, etc. His dream is to open a gas station in the city of Rumichaca.

Eloy is a member of the communal bank, "Nueva Visión de Rumichaca" (New Vision of Rumichaca). This group is made up of 19 members who live in the province of Urubamba.
