Irma's story

Irrna was born in the city of Huayllabamba, and lives in the same city where she was born. The Peruvian district of Huayllabamba is one of the seven districts in Urubamba province, located in Cusco department, which is part of the Cusco region of Peru.

Irma is 25, single, and has no children yet. She has various main economic activities that she does during the year. During the months of April to October she works as an employee, whether it be in a hotel, restaurant or for the Yucay municipality. During the months from October to March, she sells corn, and takes her products to the cities of Juliaca, Puno, and Cusco, and distributes them in various markets in those cities.

On this occasion, Irma needs the loan to buy more corn. Irma's dream is to open an Internet booth, or a company specializing in developing software. Irma has studied for a technical career in computing and informatics, in one of the institutes in the city of Cusco.

Irma is a member of the "Virgen Natividad" communal bank, and the group is made up of 15 members, some of whom live in the city of Huayllabamba, and others in the city of Yucay. The Peruvian district of Yucay is one of the seven districts in Urubamba province.
