A loan of $2,825 helped a member to buy spare parts for bicycles and automobiles.

El Suspiro Group's story

The El Suspiro communal bank is comprised of 14 people. Each one of them has a business activity. The group is located in a community that is known for having a warm climate and for being surrounded by rubber trees.

Dulce Maria, age 24, only went to school up to the third year of secondary school. She is married to Alejandro, and they have a son who is only one month old.

Dulce Maria tells us that a little over two years ago she decided to open a small business selling spare parts for bicycles and automobiles. She did this to earn a little extra money and to help her husband with the household expenses. Thank God that it has gone very well for her. She has the only spare parts business in the community, and sales have been good.

She will use her loan to buy spare parts for bicycles and automobiles in order to restock her business. She hopes to prosper from this investment in her business. She also hopes to increase her income in order to continue investing in her business.

In the future she would like her son to have the opportunity to go to school.
