These people are dedicated to getting ahead. They are the members of the group called “Siempre Unidos” [Always United]. It is made up of 9 people who, with their families, find the way to bring income home from their businesses. That is the case of Esperanza, who is 59 and in a common law marriage with 5 children who are all grown. She has been on the group for 7 years and for 25 years Esperanza has sold fish and seafood in a large market. Thanks to this business, she has been able to give an education to all of her children and build a house. She has done this with her best efforts to get ahead day to day for her and her family. In the future, she would like to export Peruvian artisanal crafts. With the recent loan she will invest in buying materials for her business.
