Trigal Group's story

The community bank, called "Trigal", is comprised of 21 entrepreneurs who run different businesses including a confectioners, a chocolate store, a jewelry store, clothes and toy sales, and others. They are all from the city of Puerto Montt.
Irma, a member of the community bank, is in the second row of the photo in the fourth place from left to right. She has short, chestnut-colored hair and is wearing a black sweater and light blue jeans and black shoes. For further reference, she is between a woman with gray hair and a woman who is wearing a shiny metallic jacket.
She works selling new clothes for men, women, and children. She specializes in lingerie and underwear and also sells household linens. She has been doing this work for 2 years. She sells her goods door to door and also from her home, and so her timetable is flexible and she can keep the weekends for her family and home.
She will soon lease a store and this will enable her to stock her business with a greater quantity of merchandise.
She buys her goods by the parcel from 2 large distributors.
She will use the loan to buy household linens.
Her goals for her business are to become independent which will give her the opportunity for higher profits.
Irma lives with her husband and 2 children who are 18 and 2 years old. Her oldest son is studying business. One of her personal goals is to travel with her family and enjoy some good vacations.
She is very happy and grateful for the opportunity that Fondo Esperanza has offered her to invest in her business. She says that it has been a huge help.
The trainings have taught her new strategies for investment and accounting. What's more, she feels very comfortable with the community bank that she is a part of as they have shared similar experiences.
