The representative of the group, by the name of Sidikatou, is the one who has her hand raised in the photo. Sidikatou is 42 years old and lives in Bénin. Sidikatou stopped school at the primary level. Sidikatou is married to a certain Imourou. The couple has three dependent children who are all in school. Sidikatou lives together with her husband and her children. The couple shares the household responsibilities.

In order to take care of the diverse household responsibilities, Sidikatou has been selling onions and hot peppers in a market of Bénin for seven years. Sidikatou gets her supplies in a market of Bénin.

In seeking to satisfy her customers and to grow her turnover and her income, Sidikatou is requesting a fourth loan from ALIDé together with the other members of the Tolohoun Lache group. The first three loans were well repaid.

Le groupe TOLOHOUN LACHE est composé de trois personnes qui résident dans le même quartier. C'est la quatrième fois que ce groupe sollicite l'aide financier de ALIDé, afin d'élever le niveau de son activité. La représentante du groupe, du nom de Sidikatou est celle qui a la main levée sur la photo. Sidikatou est âgée de 42 ans et vit au Bénin. Sidikatou a arrêté l’école au niveau primaire. Sidikatou est mariée à un certain Imourou. Le couple a trois enfants, tous scolarisés et à leur charge. Sidikatou vit ensemble avec son mari et ses enfants. Le couple se partage les charges de la maison. Afin d‘assurer les diverses charges de la maison, Sidikatou vend depuis sept ans, des oignons et des piments dans un marché du Bénin. Sidikatou s’approvisionne dans un marché du Bénin. Dans la quête de la satisfaction de sa clientèle et pour accroître son chiffre d’affaires et son revenu, Sidikatou sollicite ensemble avec les autres membres du groupe TOLOHOUN LACHE, un quatrième crédit auprès de ALIDé. Les trois premiers prêts ont été bien remboursés.

About Alidé

Alidé is a Beninese NGO that works to reduce poverty by offering sustainable access to productive loans like this one in addition to savings, training sessions, and social work to low-income families.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000. This means that some Kiva lenders may receive their repayments late. However, Alidé remains a healthy institution in good standing with its creditors, and Kiva would like to continue working to support its clients. This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee.
