A loan of $375 helped to buy more wholesale merchandise like sheets, comforters, quilts, bedspreads, and others.

Maria's story

María, age 64, is a hard-working, enterprising, happy, and kind woman. She is separated from her life partner. She lives comfortably in her own house with her mother, her 38 year old daughter, her son-in-law, and her nine year old grandson.

Maria’s business is selling merchandise that she gets in the city of Lima. She sells things like sheets, comforters, quilts, bedspreads, and others. To do this she has a niece who lives in the city of Lima. Her niece makes the purchases so that later María is able to sell them to her friends, neighbors and relatives. She sells in an itinerant manner and from her house.

She gives credit for up to two months. Thanks to becoming well-known she has managed to have a regular clientele. She has been carrying out this work in her business by herself for six years. She likes her business as it allows her to have an occupation. It also allows her to have income to pay for her personal and household expenses. What annoys her is that some customers delay paying off their credit. However, she still manages to have good income. That is why she plans to maintain her business.

This will be her fourth loan with MFP. She hopes for your collaboration in order to continue with her objectives. She says that she feels good with her communal bank as she considers the members to be calm and responsible people.

She will use the requested 1,000 soles to buy more wholesale merchandise for her business during this Chrismas season.
