A loan of $2,875 helped a member to buy polo shirts and pants.

La Nueva Esperanza Group's story

Elga belongs to the La Nueva Esperanza communal bank, made up of eight members who are all neighbors who live in the same neighborhood. Something that characterizes them is the effort they make daily to get ahead and give their homes economic improvement. Elga is an example of this. She is 25 years old and lives with her partner, and is the mother of two minor children who depend on her and her partner.

She works selling clothing in a small stall that she was able to get through her mother-in-law who also works in the same business. It has been more than three years already that she has been working in this economic activity. She also sells beauty products in her free time. Thanks to her work she has received great satisfaction, such as the education of her children and the construction of her home.

With the recent loan she plans to invest in buying merchandise such as polo shirts and pants.
