Anita's story

Anita is 47 years of age and a humble woman. She lives with Marcelino, her husband of 30 years. They have six children, two of whom live with them in their own home in the town of Atocc. From the first few hours of the day, Anita takes care of her animals including guinea pigs, cows, and donkeys. Based on their reproductive cycles, her animals can produce a large quantity of milk. In the afternoons, she delivers food to her husband who looks after their crops of potatoes, ulluco, beans, barley, and vegetables. From the time she arrives until the last ray of sunlight is visible, Anita and her husband remove weeds from their crops. In addition, they sell their crops in the city of Pampas where the fair is held every Sunday. Anita is a talented woman. She wants to increase her number of guinea pigs since these animals are in high demand.

Anita is a member of the Communal Bank “Sol Naciente” (Rising Sun) and this is her first loan with MFP. She feels she has developed along with the other members who are united and responsible people. In addition, she promises to be punctual with her loan payments. Upon receiving her loan, Anita will invest the money in the purchase of natural fertilizers for her crops of white, “huari”, and Peruvian potatoes, as well as “ulluco”. She has three hectares of farmland.
