This is 37-year-old Zainab Y. She is single and has 3 children aged 19, 13, and 8 years respectively, and all school-going children. In 2003, Zainab Y established her soft drinks, liquor and fruit juice (Bar & Restaurant) business. She began her business because she was in school when she got pregnant. After she delivered; she was not able to further her studies because her parents were not well-to-do. She had to go into business in order to maintain her baby and herself. Working 7 days a week and 14 hours a day, she earns about Le 1,800,000 every month from this business.
She would like a loan in the amount of Le 3,000,000. She has already received and successfully repaid 1 loan, and now requires a new loan in order to purchase savanna drinks - 20 crates @ Le120, 000 and frozen chicken - 6 cartons @ Le100,000. She hopes that this loan will enable her to increase her monthly profits by approximately Le 358,000.
In the future, Zainab Y plans to build a club and motel. This business helps her greatly. She wants her children to be educated as she was unfortunate in learning. She is very excited with her business. Her only challenge is foreign exchange. Competition is high, but her employees treat customers nicely and provide good food and assorted drinks. Zainab Y serves people around town and foreigners in town. Her business is popular because she has good sales people.
Her suppliers are located in Makeni, Freetown and Conakry. She usually buys her goods in large stock once per month. She uses her profit as additional capital. She is planning to expand as she hopes to access bigger loans. She is hardworking and honest. She thanks you for your support.
