A loan of $1,275 helped a member to buy foodstuffs, drinks, dairy products, baked goods, and other things for her grocery store.

Santa Maria Group's story

These ten women in the city of Curuguaty have joined together, with the aim of helping one another by working jointly. They are women heads of households who wish to help their families, and so improve their way of life.

They are very happy about the opportunity that the Foundation is giving them, and that's why they wish to reach the highest level of the program.

One of the members is Maria, who tells us that she has a grocery store. This business provides the necessary means for her to help her family. She describes herself as a very hard-working and enterprising woman, who isn't afraid of work, or of any challenge.

She is applying for the loan in order to buy foodstuffs, drinks, dairy products, baked goods, and other products. She will be able to stock her business with these and sell them to her customers.
