Cinthia Katerine's story

Cinthia was born in the city of Lima but lives in Ollantaytambo (an Inca archaeological site and capital of the district of Ollantaytambo, province of Urubamba, in the south of Perú, about 90 kms. northwest of the city of Cuzco).

Cinthia is 23, single and runs a small family business which consists of selling sweets, sodas, mineral water, crafts and other items. She has a stand on the main street where the train station for trains to Machupicchu is located. She has been in the business for several years now and it is going very well because of her hard work.

Cinthia is requesting a loan to buy crafts such as alpaca wool sweaters, hats, backpacks, satchels and other items. She is a member of the communal bank "Siempre Adelante" which is comprised of 12 members who live in Ollantaytambo and have different business activities.
