A loan of $2,875 helped a member to buy soft-drinks, water, cookies, candy and chocolates.

Las Palomitas Group's story

The “Las Palomitas” (Little Doves) communal bank has 8 members involved in a variety of commercial activities. Emilia is 69 years old and a widow; she has five independent children. Emilia has been selling soft-drinks and candy for five years at home, a business that she’s managed to improve with much effort since she now also sells purses that she makes herself. Thanks to these activities, Emilia has managed to do some home improvements and cover personal expenses.

On this occasion, she asked for the loan to continue investing in her business purchasing beverages like soft-drinks and water and snacks like cookies, candy and chocolates to stock her kiosk. Emilia’s wish is to continue improving her business.

The “Las Palomitas” communal bank is very grateful for the loan provided because it makes their progress possible. Emilia is wearing the blue jacket and black pants; her hair is short and she’s on the left side. Eduardo was unable to attend because of school since he’s in final exams now.
