Las Hormiguitas Group's story

The community bank "Las Hormiguitas" ("The Little Ants") is a united group made up of nine members, both men and women, who have been working with the Programa Prosperidad ("Prosperity Program") for eight months. Julia is 50 years old and married with four children, one of whom she continues to support, as he is stil in school. For more than 25 years, Julia has worked selling food from a rented spaces. Thanks to her business, Julia has been able to improve her living space, and she is now buying her own property. Julia's wish is to finish the construction of her home. WIth the goal of improving her business, she is applying for a loan to buy tables, silverware, and a microwave, and in this way, provide her customers with a better experience. The "Las Hormiguitas" community bank are thankful for and dedicated to their working relationship with the Programa Prosperidad. For work-related reasons, Rosa, one member of the group, was not able to be present for the initial distribution of capital (when the photo was taken).
