A loan of $700 helped to invest in planting the coffee nursery, to pay the day workers, and to buy fertilizers.

Olvin Damin's story

Olvin is 30 years old and single. He lives in San Luis Planes Santa Bárbara with his family. Ever since he was little he has worked with his family growing coffee. He also does screen printing jobs. He is a very hard-working person.

He currently has one “manzana” (just under a half of an acre) where he is growing coffee. He takes his production of wet parchment coffee to sell at the local market. However, the buyers often come to his house. He is motivated with farming because this product is in great demand, and he will get good income.

He has requested this loan for 13,000 lempira to invest in planting the nursery. This way he will expand to ¼ of a manzana more land. He will use the loan to pay the day workers and to buy fertilizers for the crop. His plan is to improve production and to continue getting income.
