A loan of $550 helped to buy a dairy cow.

Francisca's story

Mrs. Francisca lives in the city of Itá. She is 68 and lives with her common-law husband, Amado. She has eight adult children who live independently.

She has four dairy cows, chickens and pigs. For several years she has been selling milk, pork and eggs. Her husband is a bricklayer. They work together to provide for the household and prepare for retirement. Her dream is to continue growing and have more livestock, therefore she is requesting the loan.

She plans to use the loan to buy a dairy cow to increase milk production. She is grateful for this opportunity from Kiva and the Fundación Paraguaya.
