A loan of $1,000 helped to buy grains.

Djoumaî's story

Djoumai is a 42-year-old woman. She is married to a driver and has four children ranging from 7 to 16 years. Two of her children attend school. Djoumai has been working as a grain reseller since 2004. She buys her merchandise in Lomé and sells alone, from home, to her customers. She has no particular difficulty. Djoumai has requested a third loan from WAGES in order to buy grains and yams. She wants to expand her business. In the coming years, Djoumai would like to add other activities such as selling charcoal (a fuel commonly used for cooking by women in Togo). She says that with the profits, she plans to take care of her family's basic needs.
