A loan of $600 helped to buy more materials such as "manta", fabrics, threads, lace and ribbons.

Concepcion's story

Señora Concepción is 50 years old and is married to Señor Modesto who is a farmer. They have four children: Arturo and Amalia who are in the second and third year of high school and the oldest two who are married. For more than 15 years, she has worked at making and selling typical clothing such as blouses, dresses, robes and shirts.

She says she started this business activity as she wanted to help her husband with the household expenses and the education of their children. She also wanted to improve their standard of living a little and to be more stable economically and thus be able to live comfortably. She is going to use the loan to buy more materials such as "manta" (coarse cotton cloth), fabrics, threads, lace and ribbons.

Concepción's biggest dream is to be able to grow her business even more and extend it so that she produces more and has a greater variety, thus increasing her profits a little.

She is very grateful to Kiva Field Partner, Fundación Realidad, and all the Kiva lenders, for all the help and trust they are offering her. It is thanks to the support she has received that her life has changed a lot, as well as her business.
