A loan of $725 helped to buy more catalogs, shoes, sandals, huaraches, dress and tennis shoes.

Laura's story

Laura is 32 years old and is married to Juan José Ruiz, who is a farmer. They have 2 children, Antonio and Guadelupe. Of the two, only the older one is studying. He is in first grade and the younger one is just barely 2 years old. Laura has been selling shoes form catalogs for 2 years.

She says she started this small business because she wanted to find a way of helping her husband with the household expenses and gradually improve their economic situation, so that they can enjoy a better quality of life. She will invest the loan she received in buying more catalogs, shoes, sandals, huaraches, dress and tennis shoes. This way she can have better stock.

She is convinced that one of her greatest dreams can come true, because it is to make her business grow much more. She wants to build a store location where she would sell shoes and have it well stocked with a large variety of products. This is how she will grow and improve her income. Laura says that she is very grateful to Kiva donors for the for the support they are providing her, and especially for the confidence.
