A loan of $750 helped to buy books for university.

Victor Alejandro's story

Víctor is 23 years old. He is single and lives in his parent’s house. He is currently studying to become a lawyer. He is in his eighth semester at the ULADECH University in Cañete. He works in the morning as a driver, from 5:00 in the morning until 4:00 in the afternoon, in his father’s van. This allows him to study in the evenings, from 6:00 in the evening until 10:00 at night. He has a lot of experience in the business because he started driving when he was 18 years old. He tells us that with his parent’s help he will continue with and pay for his studies.

His dream is to be able to finish his studies and graduate as a lawyer. What he most wants is to become a judge and work to help the people who need it most. His father works as an bookkeeper from home. He does this work for the stores in Cañete, which is where Víctor lives and works.

With the help of Kiva’s lenders, Víctor could buy some books for his major, such as “Trials,” and “New Codes for Penal Processes,” among others, which cost between PEN 150.00 and 400.00. These books are necessary so that Víctor can continue with his studies. He wants to improve and show that he can achieve what he sets out to do and get good grades so that his parents can feel proud. Víctor feels very happy because his parents always support and trust in him, because he has always gotten good grades since he was very young.
