A loan of $775 helped to buy two computers and also linens and items for the home.

Ludys Estefany's story

Ludys lives in the municipality of Malambo. She is the mother of 2 children who are 9 and 13 years old. She has two businesses there. She sells a variety of merchandise and she also offers telecommunications services, which she started with the goal of helping out with the expenses for her household and to provide for their wellbeing. When she put her enterprising idea into motion she rented a location and started selling cell phone minutes. Later, since things went well for her, she bought computers and a fax to add them to her offerings. These were two services that her customers were always asking about and there were no other business with them in the area.

Her current goal to grow her business has motivated her to request a loan to buy two more computers and also other things for sale. She will buy linens and items for the home, taking advantage of the high demand during the end-of-the-year vacations, which are full of family festivities that increase demand in both of her businesses. Her working capital is not sufficient to respond to the expectations of her customers.

Her dream is to educate her two children well so that in the future they can be successful. They are what motivate her to get up day after day to work hard so she can achieve it.
