Maelewano Zomboko Group's story

Chelestina, who is in her early 30s, is a divorcee with one child who goes to school. She has been running a pharmacy business since 2006. She works from 7:30 am to 9:00 p.m daily and is able to make a good monthly profit.

This will be her fourth loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loans to pay school fees and household expenses, pay for her plot of land, and increase her medicine stock. She has paid back all her loans successfully. She wants a loan now to increase her medicine stock. Her dream is to one day be able to take her child to good schools.

She will share this loan with her loan group "Maelewano Zomboko," which has a total of 16 members who will hold each other accountable in paying back their loans.
