A loan of $1,000 helped to buy cereals.

N’To's story

N’To is 44 years old and lives with his five children and his spouse in a traditional family in Dienfing, one of the villages of the sub-prefecture of Ouelessebougou, Koulikoro region.

N'To did not have the chance to go to school. Very early he became interested in income-generating businesses, notably buying, storage and selling of cereals. He learned this business from his maternal uncle, who was formerly a great businessman of cereals.

Due to the worry of satisfying his clearly growing clientèle, he decided to collaborate with Soro Yiriwaso.

After having correctly repaid his five previous loans, he is on his sixth individual loan which will serve to buy 5 tons of cereals (corn, bean, mil [African cereal], fonio [African cereal]) from the farmers of Dienfing and surrounding areas which he will keep for at least three months. He sells essentially wholesale to a clientèle consisting of resellers from the large cities such as Bamako.

N'To hopes to make an average monthly profit of 75,000 FCFA which will be used to repay the loan and reinvest the rest in his business.
