A loan of $1,975 helped a member to buy fabric and thread to use in her dressmaking workshop.

Los Angeles 2 Group's story

This communal bank was formed thanks to one of the members, who had already been a member of another group in the area. She reached out to her neighbors and friends in order to form her own communal bank. They appreciate the opportunity that the Fundación Paraguaya is providing them, since they will have new opportunities to start up better businesses, contribute income to their households, and in this way provide their children with a better life.

Zulma is one of the members. She has a dressmaking business, which allows her to have her own income and in this way contribute to the income of her household. She is a responsible and hardworking person. She tells us that she always has a lot of work, and this makes her very happy. One of her dreams is to be able to continue to grow her business, and in this way help out people in her neighborhood as well.

Zulma requests a loan to buy fabric and thread. This will help her a lot, because she has a lot of orders and she would like to fill them.
