A loan of $1,025 helped a member to buy clothes, beads, and embriodery frames for decorative embriodery business.

Muktaran's Group's story

Mukhtaran is 41 years old, married, and has two sons. Due to financial constraints, she couldn’t educate her children. Her elder son is an embroidery expert while the younger one works in the factory.

Her husband is a driver while Mukhtaran herself is also a working lady. She does decorative embroidery. She is very skillful and receives a good number of orders every month.

She has applied for a loan from KIVA partner Asasah for further expansion of her embroidery business. With the loan investment, she will buy clothes and embroidery material such as beads and embroidery frames in bulk quantity to be able to prepare better quality embroidered clothes and increase her income.

She is very experienced in her work and has been operating it for the past many years. She is confident that an investment will help her to improve her business further.
