El Progreso Group's story

The committee goes by the name of El Progreso [Progress] due to the fact that the committee was making progress with the foundation. They have pledged to remain a united group and to work responsibly. They are currently in their sixth loan cycle. The members are made up of 12 women who invest their loans in their respective activities. One of these women is Señora Julia who tells us that she sells empanadas for a living. She says that her sales are always high and this helps her to have a better income which supports her family. She says that one of her dreams is to have a stall where she can sell her products. She is requesting help from the foundation and from kiva to purchase meat, chicken, ham and cheese, eggs and condiments which are essential to her business.
