A loan of $2,725 helped a member to buy pasta, rice, herbs and other items.

San Rafael Group's story

The communal bank "San Rafael" is located in the city of Curuguaty and comprised of 14 women who are friends and neighbors there. They formed a group because of their common fighting spirit since they saw that the Fundación offered a women's program and a great opportunity to get ahead so they could help their families.

Honoria is one of the members. She says she begins work very early in the morning when she receives her first customers. Her business provides a good income since most of her neighbors buy from her. One of her goals is to keep growing and earn even more money to support her family.

She is requesting a loan to stock her store with essential goods such as sugar, pasta, rice, herbs and other items. She is grateful to the Fundación for this opportunity.
