Laureana's story

Laureana, 60, is a single mother; she has three children who are 46, 41 and 31 years old. She lives in one of San Pedro Sula’s outlying neighborhood with her mother and two nephews.

Laureana has been selling clothes, shoes, sandals, casual attire and underwear for 30 years. She used to sell candy and snacks. From her current business she’s managed to pay for her house and she’s very satisfied about having it.

In order to have a more stable economy, she’s asked ODEF for a L.13,500.00 loan which is her 13th loan and she plans to use it to stock her store with clothes, shoes, sandals, casual attire and underwear. Her goal is to continue to maintain a level of income that will permit a better quality of life at the family level.
