Bonne Nouvelle Group's story

The group Bonne Nouvelle ("good news") is made up of three people living in the same neighbourhood. This is the third time they have requested financial assistance from Alidé to improve their business. The group's representative, Kossiwa, has her hand raised in the photo.

Kossiwa is 27 years old and lives in Benin. She did not go to school. She is married to a man named Bruno. The couple has one child to support, who goes to school. As well as their child, they look after three other children. Kossiwa lives with her husband and the children.

The couple together provide for the various needs of their family. Kossiwa supports the family by working as an itinerant vendor selling children's second-hand clothing. She buys her supplies at a market in Benin. In order to satisfy her customers and increase her turnover and revenue, Kossiwa is requesting a third loan from Alidé along with the other members of the group Bonne Nouvelle. The first two loans have been fully repaid.

In this group: Kossiwa, Ayaovi, Bilikissou
