A loan of $600 helped to purchase baby pigs to fatten and later sell.

Cecilia Rosario's story

Cecilia is a happy and hard-working young woman with a strong desire to move up in life. She lives with her husband and two children in San Gaabriel, northern Ecuador. She works by herself raising and selling pigs. She has been in the business five years and started after she married to improve her quality of life. This is her fifth year in a row working with Kiva partner FODEMI, and she is requesting the loan to purchase baby pigs to fatten and later sell, which will help her increase her income to cover her family's daily needs. Her dream is to be able to build her own home and to continue working for her children.
