A loan of $425 helped to buy recyclable materials.

Bernardo's story

Bernardo is a very hardworking forty-year-old man. He’s been married for seven years and has two children who are 5 and 2 years old. He lives in the Los Pinos de Choloma neighborhood, Cortes.

For the last seven years he’s worked buying and selling recyclable metals like: junk metal and car parts, iron, aluminum, copper, bronze and ground iron scraps and he also collects plastics to sell to a recycling firm. He buys them at one price and then sells them for another earning a good profit. He spends all day in this business working from 7am until 5pm.

He feels supported by loans from ODEF. This is the second one and he needs it to buy junk autos and iron, bronze, copper, plastic and aluminum scraps to sell. His dream is to own a vehicle for his business and to grow in business.
