Ihab is a 20-year-old, single, Lebanese man living with his parents and two siblings. One of his siblings is working and the other is still attending school. His father is responsible for covering the family expenses. Regardless of his young age and unlike other people, Ihab has the ambition to have his own business. He opened his own call center and money transfer shop. Today, he’s asking for a loan of $2100 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l. to purchase some products for his shop such as recharge cards and other needed items. This will boost his business and thus his profits. In the future, he plans to take more Kiva loans in order to improve his work.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
